Many years ago I was working on a road worn, late 50's amplifier for a client. From decades of honest wear and tear this amp needed to be gone through and put back to a proper gig-ready amplifier. After getting it back up to a functioning state, I found myself captivated by the tone this, still "broken" amp had, particularly the overdrive character. It inspired me to chase the feeling that old amp gave me in the tone it possessed.
The Blue Sky is the result of loving the woody tone and smooth power tube overdrive of that certain late-50's amplifier, but not fully content with its lack of versatility. It offers a big, full sound compared to amplifiers of similar size and a beautiful, throaty midrange. The Blue Sky is perfect for guitar players of many different styles, as well as a favorite among resonator and lap steel players.
Housed in a custom made 1x12" cabinet, the Blue Sky amplifier is extremely responsive to your guitar attack. Back off for full, round and chimey cleans. Dig in for warm, guttural tube overdrive!
